10 Guards on 10/10: Guard Upgrade Giveaway

2. Entry period

Entries open when SportsGuard announces the campaign and activates the entry form on October 1, 2026. Entries close October 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The entry form’s receipt time controls. Winners are scheduled to be announced October 10, 2026.

3. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., age 18 or older. A parent or legal guardian may enter on behalf of a younger athlete and must handle the entry, consent and prize arrangements. Employees of SportsGuard and agencies administering this campaign, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible. Limit one entry per athlete and one prize per athlete.

4. How to enter

1. Follow @sportsguardlab on Instagram.
2. Take an original photo of your existing, worn mouthguard on a clean surface. Share a post or Story, tag @sportsguardlab and include #GuardUpgrade #SportsGuardContest so others know it is a contest entry.
3. Complete the form at sportsguard.com/pages/guard-upgrade, including your contact details, Instagram username, sport, location, accessible photo or post link, and a short explanation of why the guard needs replacing.

An Instagram post or Story alone is not a complete entry. If a Story expires or your account is private, provide a photo link SportsGuard can access through winner selection. No purchase or ownership of a SportsGuard product is required. Existing guards from any brand are eligible. Do not deliberately damage a guard for this campaign, put a damaged guard in your mouth, or submit unsafe activity.

5. Entry content

Submit your own photograph and truthful story. Do not submit stock or AI-generated entry photos. You must have permission from anyone identifiable in your photo, including permission from a parent or legal guardian for minors. Do not include private information, offensive content, or material you do not have permission to use. SportsGuard may exclude incomplete, duplicate, inaccessible, fraudulent or otherwise ineligible entries. Automated entries are not allowed.

6. Winner selection

This is a judged contest. SportsGuard’s judging panel will score eligible entries for demonstrated replacement need and visible wear (40%), the athlete’s story (40%), and presentation or creativity (20%). Grossness alone does not determine a winner. The 10 highest-scoring entries win. Ties are resolved by story score, then replacement-need score, then a second judging review. No random drawing is used. The number of likes or followers does not affect judging. If fewer than 10 eligible entries are received, fewer prizes may be awarded.

7. Prizes

Ten prizes are available. Each winner receives one standard custom-fit SportsGuard mouthguard in an available solid color, a carrying case, required at-home impression materials, and the shipping needed to receive the kit, return the impression and receive the finished guard. No purchase or paid upgrade is required. Additional products and optional upgrades are not included.

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. SportsGuard may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Winners are responsible for applicable taxes. Winners must follow SportsGuard’s fitting instructions and provide a usable impression or accepted scan before production. Any product warranty is governed by its separate terms.

8. Notification and acceptance

SportsGuard will contact potential winners using the email supplied in their entry on October 10, 2026. Potential winners must respond within 72 hours and confirm eligibility. For a younger athlete, the entering parent or guardian must respond. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, declines, or is ineligible, the next highest-scoring eligible entry may be selected. SportsGuard will never require payment to claim a prize.

9. Privacy and photo permissions

Entry details will be used to administer the contest, verify eligibility and contact winners, consistent with SportsGuard’s privacy policy. Entering does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. You grant SportsGuard permission to view and evaluate your submitted content for this contest. SportsGuard will request separate permission before reposting an identifiable athlete’s image, name or story in promotional materials. Permission to appear in promotional content is not a condition of winning.

10. Administration

SportsGuard is not responsible for entries it does not receive because of technical problems or inaccessible links. If fraud or technical disruption materially affects the contest, SportsGuard may suspend, modify or cancel it and, where feasible, judge unaffected eligible entries under the stated criteria. Changes will be posted on the giveaway page. These rules do not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Instagram

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Instagram from claims arising from this promotion to the extent permitted by law. You provide your entry information to SportsGuard, not Instagram. Do not inaccurately tag people in photographs.

12. Winner list

After winners are confirmed, request the winner list by emailing customerservice@sportsguard.com with the subject “10/10 winner list.” Public identification of younger athletes will require parent or guardian consent.
