Why are Sportsguard Custom mouthguards better?
Simple, we create a stone mold of your teeth and gums from the Self-impression kit you receive upon ordering. Using high heat and pressure (90psi) we form approved dental EVA plastic over your mold to achieve a precise fitting custom mouthguard.
Why are your mouthguards so much less than other custom mouthguards?
Sportsguard is the only dental lab that has specialized specifically in custom mouthguard fabrication for the last 28 years. Because of this we have fine-tuned our manufacturing process to be able to make guards efficiently and cost effective. This allows us to offer our services at the lowest price possible.
What is the process of ordering a mouthguard?
We make it easy with only a few steps. First, you select the level of protection based on the sport(s) you will be using it for. Second, you choose your design from solid, to custom text or graphic, to picking something from our design library. Finally, place your order and we will ship out our Self Impression kit and forming instructions and you are on your way.
What is your turnaround time?
Once we receive your impression and the order is checked in it normally will ship out within 5 working days. If you need it quicker, please indicate it in the Note section of the order form and we will do the best that we can to speed up the process.
What if I have crooked, missing, or erupting teeth?
Not a problem. Our trained Lab technicians will determine if we need to fill in gap or allow for teeth to grow and will adjust your model accordingly.
How long will my mouthguard last?
For the most part that is up to you. If you do not chew on it, keep it clean, and store in the case then we have had some athletes wear the same mouthguard for years. If you are young and your mouth is changing you will know when it is time to replace it. It will not fit as well or it may start causing irritation.
What if you feel the mouthguard does not fit?
A misfitting mouthguard is the result of an inaccurate impression. A lot of times we can catch that before we make the mouthguard. If that is the case we will reach out to you so you can make a new impression. Sometimes that is hard to tell, and we will rely on you to give us feedback once you try in the mouthguard, and we will guide you to a solution. Either way we guarantee satisfaction with the fit and appearance of your mouthguard.
My mouthguard rubs my gum. What should I do?
Do not try to fix yourself. We will fix it for you. Reach out to us and we will have you return it so we can adjust it for you.
How does free shipping work?
After you place your order we will send out your Self-impression Kit via first class mail. In your kit you will receive a prepaid return label to use when you return your finished impression. When the mouthguard is finished we will send it along wit a free mouthguard case.
Will you keep the dental model you make from my impression?
Yes, we will store here for one year. If you want to order another mouthguard before the year expires. Use the discount code you receive with your finished mouthguard shipping notification and enjoy 10% off.
Do you offer team discounts?
Yes, we can offer discounts based on the number of guards ordered by your team or club. Let us know how many mouthguards you would like to order and will will quate you a great rate.
What is your refund policy?
First, before you request a refund let us know the problem and we will try to fix it for you. If for some reason we are unable too you can return your guard within the first 30 days of receiving for a full refund.
